1 c softened butter
1/2 c powdered sugar
2 c flour
RASPBERRY JAM OR BLACKBERRY JAM
not preserves

powdered sugar for rolling cookies
OPTIONAL
3/4 c finely chopped almonds
or i have added 1/8 teas almond extract to this
sometimes or vanilla to dough but not all
the time. your taste

oven 375. Cream butter and powdered sugar together. Gradually add in flour, just blend it . Pinch off olive size pieces, roll into balls, place 1 in apart on ungreased
cookie sheet. Make thumbprint in center of each, and fill with jam, only in
the hole. Bake about 10 min, wait a couple min, transfer to rack and sprinkle
with powdered sugar.
