3/4 c. Melted butter
1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake mix
1 c. Nuts (mixed or preferred)
1/3 c. Evaporated milk
12 oz. Chocolate chips
14 oz. Caramels
1/3 cup of milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, cake mix, nuts and evaporated milk.
Press 1/2 of the mixture into a 9x13 inch pan.
Bake 6 minutes and then sprinkle chocolate chips over cake mix
Melt caramels and 1.3 cup milk.
Pour over chips and mix.
Spread remainder of cake mixture on top of caramels.
Bake at 350º for 18-20 minutes.

My Grandmother who is now 94 years old would make this at every family reunion. I remember eating these bars all the time they were my favorite. Bring back good memories of hanging out with my grandparents and other family members.
