Xmas Morning Wife Saver Recipe

16 crustless slices white bread
Sliced back bacon or ham
Sliced cheddar cheese
6 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup green peppers, finely chopped
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
3 cups whole milk
Dash of Tabasco sauce
1/4 lb butter
Special K or crushed cornflakes

Make night before
Use 9x13 greased pan

Place 8 slices of bread, add more to cover pan completely
Cover bread with slices of bacon, sliced thin. Lay slices of cheese on top of bacon and cover with bread.
In bowl beat eggs, add salt and pepper. Add mustard, onion, peppers, worchestershire sauce, milk and Tabasco sauce.
Pour over dish, cover and let stand in fridge overnight.
In morning melt butter pour over dish, cover with cereal.
Bake uncovered in preheated oven, 350 for 1 hour
Let set for 10 minutes before serving
