- 1 Tbls Butter, or as needed
- 2 Tbls Vegetable Oil
- 1 Red Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic - minced
- 1 lb Bacon, diced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper
- 3 Jalapeno Pepper - minced
- 1 cup Beer or to taste
- 1 cup Barbecue sauce
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup mollasses
- 6 cups cooked Beans - Pinto, Kidney, Navy, use one type or combination, your call
- Pinch Salt & fresh ground Black Pepper to taste

- Preheat oven to 375º
- *Grease 9X13 baking dish w 1 Tbls butter
*If you have a 12", deep dish, oven safe skillet (Dutch oven), ditch the baking dish and cook it all in the skillet
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Saute onions & garlic in hot oil until onion begins to softened, 5-7 minutes
- Add bacon, bell and jalapeño peppers; cook and stir until bacon is browned, 7-10 minutes more
- Stir beer, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and molasses together in a large bowl
- Add pinto beans and bacon mixture; season with salt & pepper
- Pour beans into baking dish, or.....
- Bake, uncovered until bubbling and browned, about 45 minutes

*Make it a meal - Add BBQ Hot Dogs, Smoked Sausage, Sautéd Hamburger

You can use canned Baked beans if short on time (or LAZY) but you will sacrifice taste, texture and health benefits.....get it? plan ahead and USE DRY BEANS!
