1 chopped sweet or yellow onion
chopped green or red pepper, optional
¾ T chopped garlic
2 T butter
1 lb. grassfed ground beef
1 can black beans, rinsed
1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed
1 small can tomato sauce
2 cups beef broth
1 T brown sugar
1½ T chili powder
1½ tsp Cumin
salt
pepper


Directions:

Sautee onion and peppers in butter until softened. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Brown ground beef. Add seasonings and rest of ingredients. Simmer 15-20 minutes.
