2 sticks butter
1¼ cups sugar
¾ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter
2½ cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter; gradually add sugars and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in peanut butter. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto baking sheet; press with back of floured fork to make crisscross. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350º preheated oven. Cool immediately on wire rack.

Yield: 8 dozen.
