1 pound steak cut in 1” cubes
2 ½ cups cut celery
2 large onions cut
1 tablespoon black strap molasses
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
½ teaspoon pepper
2 t. salt, or less to taste
2½ tablespoon soy sauce
2 cups boiling beef stock
1 can bean sprouts rinsed and drained
3 tablespoon corn starch mixed in ½ cup water

Directions:

Heat oil. Add beef cubes, salt and pepper and cook 3 to 4 minutes stirring constantly. Stir in soy sauce. Remove meat. To saucepan, add celery, onions, molasses and boiling beef stock. Bring to a boil. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Add bean sprouts. Cook 3 minutes. Add beef. Add cornstarch mixture. Cook until thick.

Serve over rice.

Dad claimed he did not care for this dish; however, he always went back for seconds! Mom continued to make it.....and dad always ate it.
