2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda (baking soda)
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 teaspoon vanilla.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Sift flour, baking soda and salt. Stir flour into creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk or sour milk. Add vanilla.

Bake at 325į for 1 hour and 20 minutes
