3 egg whites
Dash of salt
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup chocolate wafer crumbs, finely grated
½ cup chopped nuts
½ t. vanilla
1 cup heavy cream
1 T. powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla extract


Directions:
Directions:
For the pie:
Beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar until stiff peaks form. Fold in chocolate wafer crumbs, nuts, and vanilla. Spread in a lightly greased 9 inch pie plate.

Bake at 350 º for 35 – 40 minutes. Cool.

Topping:
Whip cream. When soft peaks form, add powdered sugar and vanilla. Continue beating until stiff peaks form. DO NOT OVER BEAT.

Spread whipped cream over cooled pie. Store in refrigerator.
