2 1/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tbsp light corn syrup
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup walnuts or pecans (chopped) (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In a non-stick saucepan, mix all ingredients together. Cook on medium high heat until candy boils; stirring often. Cook to softball stage (238º). Remove from heat and cool for 30 minutes; then beat until firm. Pour into a butter pan. Once completely cooled, cut into squares.
