1 ¾ cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs slightly beaten
½ cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 to 2 cups raspberries

Directions:
Directions:
-Line muffin pan(s) with cupcake liners or grease the muffin pans themselves.
-Combine flour and baking powder. Carefully mix in the raspberries, making sure that all the raspberries get coated with the flour mixture and then set aside.
-In a large bowl, cream the shortening and sugar. Then add the eggs, mixing it well.
-Combine the milk and vanilla. This is the liquid mixture.
- Alternately add the liquid mixture and the flour raspberry mixture to the large bowl mixing it all together to make the muffin batter.
-Fill the muffin pans with the batter, making sure the muffin wells are only ½-⅔ full. Try to put about the same amount in each of the muffin wells in the pan.
-Bake muffins at 375ºF for 20-25 minutes. Muffins are done when a toothpick comes out clean when put in the center of a muffin.
