Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
⅛ tsp. baking soda
½ c. butter
1 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 500º.
Grease bottom of small jelly roll pan.
Add flour, baking powder, salt and soda in mixing bowl. Mix well.
Cut butter into pats and add to mixture, cut in with pastry blender until mixed well.
Add 1 c. buttermilk. Stir with wooden spoon. Dough should be very wet, if you need to, add up to ¼ c. more buttermilk.
Flour your hands well and form dough into balls. Keep hands floured well so it doesn't stick.
Should make about 10 - 2½" balls.
Place on greased pan close together. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown on top.
(I flatten the balls to about 1" thick after on pan.)
(Bake close together to keep biscuits from drying out). (The steam from baking makes them stay fluffy and moist). (If you don't have buttermilk use sweet milk and skip the baking soda).
