1½ tbsp. yeast
¼ c. warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. scalded milk, cooled to lukewarm
1½ tbsp. melted butter
¼ c. sugar
3½-4 c. flour
1 egg
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Dissolve yeast in warm water and 1 tbsp. sugar. Let stand until frothy.
Add milk, ¼ c. sugar and 1½ c. flour to make medium batter. Beat thoroughly.
Add butter, egg and salt. Beat well.
Add flour to make a soft dough. Dump on floured surface and knead for 4-5 minutes,. (or with dough hook, leave in mixer and mix for a couple minutes on med. speed),
Put in greased bowl and turn so dough is covered in oil. Let double in size.
Dump onto floured surface and roll to desired thickness (about ¾" ) Cut into squares. Put on greased pan and let rise till double in size.
Bake at 350º for 10-15 minutes. Until golden on top.
Makes 2-3 dozen.
After removing from oven, butter tops of rolls with melted butter.
