½ c. warm water
3 pkg. or 3 tbsp. yeast
¼ c. bread flour
1 tbsp. white sugar
2 c. quick oats
2 c. whole wheat flour
4½ c. warm water
1½ tbsp. salt
⅔ c. brown sugar
⅔ c. vegetable oil
10 c. bread flour

Directions:

In the mixing bowl stir together ½ c. warm water, 1 tbsp. sugar, ¼ c. bread flour and yeast Let grow about 5 minutes.
Add oats, water, whole wheat flour, salt, ⅔ c. sugar, ⅔ c. oil. Mix on low speed with dough hook for 2 minutes.
Increase speed slightly and begin to add bread flour, ½ to 1 c. at a time, until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. (I've used as few as 7 c. and as many as 11) Depends on humidity.
Coat large bowl with vegetable oil. Place dough in bowl and turn dough to coat with oil. Let rise till double in size.
Divide into six loaves, shape and put in bread pans. Let dough rise 1" above top of pan.
Bake at 350º for 35 minutes. Cool in pans 10 minutes, then place on cooling rack.
