¼ c firmly packed brown sugar
¼ c chopped walnuts
2 tbsp butter - softened

BREAD:
6 tbsp. butter - softened
⅔ c granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 ripe medium bananas, peeled & mashed
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1⅔ c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ c chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease/spray pan with Pam. In small bowl combine topping ingredients; mix until it resembles a coarse crumble. Set aside.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar with electric mixer until light & fluffy. Add eggs, bananas, and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture; mix just until blended. (Do NOT overmix.) Gently stir in walnuts.

Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle with topping evenly over batter. Bake 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on cooling rack 15 minutes. Remove from pan & cool completely.
