2 tbsp cornstarch

1 can (10 1/2 oz) condensed beef broth

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp vegetable oil

1 lb boneless beef sirloin or top round steak, 3/4-inch thick, cut into thin strips

3 c cut-up vegetables (broccoli flowerets, sliced carrots and green or red pepper strips)

1/4 tsp garlic powder or 1 clove garlic, minced.

Hot cooked rice

Stir the cornstarch, broth and soy sauce in a small bowl until smooth. Set aside.

Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet. Add the beef and stir-fry until it's well browned and the juices evaporate. Push the beef to one side of the skillet.

Add the vegetables and garlic powder and stir-fry until tender-crisp.

Stir the cornstarch mixture and stir into the skillet. Cook and stir until the mixture boils and thickens. Serve over the rice.
