½ lb Butter softened
1 cup Crisco
6 ea Eggs
3 Cups Sugar
1 cup Milk
4 Cups cake flour sifted
2 tsp Baking powder
¼ tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla extract.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together Butter, Crisco, and Sugar. Add eggs one a the time, beating well(3-5 minutes) after each. Sift together dry ingredients. Add vanilla to milk. Add ⅓ dry mix to creamed mixture, alternating with ½ milk. . Mix well. Bake in greased and floured 10 in tube pan, 300 degrees for approximately 1 hr and 30 minutes. Cake should be golden brown and spring back when touched in the center gently. Do not over bake.
