1 cup sugar 3/4 cup butter 1 egg 1/4 cup molasses 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon cloves, ground 2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt
Cream together sugar, butter, egg, and molasses. Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt and add to the creamed mixture. Roll into balls and dip in sugar. Do not flatten. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
