large chuck roast Gravy:
3 TBSP olive Oil 2 cups beef broth
6 Garlic Cloves 1/4 cup flour
3 cups beef broth
2 TBSP Worchestire Sauce
3 TBSP minced onion (dry is fine)
2 TBSP Beef Bullion Cubes
1 TSP onion powder
1 TSP garlic powder
1 TSP salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Preheat Oven to 425

Heat oil in a frying pan and sear both sides of the roast with Garlic added. (you are only browning). Then place in a deep roasting pan,

Whisk all other ingredients together and pour over the roast.

Cover tightly with foil and roast for 30 min at 425, then turn the roast over in the pan, recover and turn oven down to 300. roast for 4 hours.

Let in set for about 15 mins before cutting. Resting makes it better

Gravy: add 4 TBSP juice from the roast to pan and bring to a boil. Sprinkle in 1/4 cup flour. whisk until light brown. Then stir in 2 cups of juices . Keep stiring, the gravy will thicken.

If you want potatoes & carrots ..throw it all in at the same time when you start the roast. Sprinkle generously with salt & pepper.
