Ingredients: 12 ounces very sharp grated Cheddar cheese 6 Tbsp stout - 1 Tsp dry mustard - 2 Tsp Worcestershire sauce - 4 1-inch slices Texas Toast bread Butter, to taste -

Directions: |
Directions:Preheat broiler and or oven put double layer of sturdy aluminum foil about 5 inches from heat - mix cheese, beer, mustard, Worcestershire (or use a food processor mix into paste in bowl).
Lightly butter one side of the toast - place in oven or broiler until well-toasted - 1–2 minutes (watch carefully) - turn bread over and cook for about 30 seconds - Divide cheese equally among slices - covering to the edges - Return to oven or broiler - Cook until cheese is bubbly and brown in spots - about 2 minutes
Optional you can use a pound of ground meat - if you choose to add the meat - mix the wet ingredients as you brown off the ground meat - it should become a meaty thick gravy - you can add chopped leeks - |
