4 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. butter
1½ c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. double-acting baking powder
¼ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Into a large bowl measure all ingredients. With hands, knead ingredients until well blended. (Dough will be soft). pat dough evenly onto a cookie sheet. Prick with a hork in many places. Bake at 325º about 45 mins. or until golden. while shortbread is warm, cut with knife. Store in a tightly covered container.
