3 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 (21 oz.) can chunky apple pie filling
6-1/2 cups cinnamon-raisin bread cut into 1/2 inch cubes (will dry to about 4-1/2 cups)
Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)

Directions:

Lightly coat a 4-quart slow cooker with butter, set aside. In large mixing bowl whisk together eggs, milk, and sugar. Gently stir in pie filling and bread cubes.
Pour mixture into prepared cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean (the mixture will be puffed).
Remove interior crock from cooker and let stand, uncovered, for 30 to 45 minutes to cool slightly before serving.

THE PUDDING WILL FALL AS IT COOLS, it is supposed to fall, no worries!
Spoon pudding into dessert dishes and top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
