1 loaf of Challah OR Sliced Brioche bread, crust removed and cut into 1inch cubes
7 eggs
2 1/2 cups milk (I use 3%)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Maple Syrup

Directions:

Whisk together eggs, milk and vanilla in a large bowl.
Add bread cubes and combine well.
Cover and refrigerate overnight. Mix occasionally if you think of it).


In the morning, pour mixture into a lightly buttered 9x13 baking dish.
Combine melted butter, brown sugar and maple syrup. Drizzle over top of bread mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees until puffed and brown. (apprx. 45 minutes)
Cool 5 minutes before serving.

When we make this for Brunch we serve it with fresh berries.

We always used an unsliced Challah loaf but Erin discovered that a loaf of the Brioche bread works just as well and is easier. She doesn't even cut off the crusts!
