Ingredients: 1 lb. ground beef 1 tsp. tabasco, divided in half 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. Parmesean cheese 2 T. Parsley 1/2 c. dried bread crumbs 1 egg, beaten 1 sm can tomato paste 1/8 tsp. 1 clove garlic 1 med. onion, diced 1 lb can tomatoes 1 6oz cn. mushrooms 3-4 green bell pepper, cut lengthwise in strips 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt

Directions:Sprinkle 1/2 tsp. tabasco sauce over ground beef. Add salt, cheese, parsley, bread crumbs, and egg. Mix well. Brown meatballs in hot oil in a large skillet. Remove and set aside. Saute'onion until tender in skillet used to brown meatballs. Add tomatoes, tomato past, mushrooms and liquid, and remaining tabasco into a large pot. Add onions, and other seasonings and bring to a boil. Add green peppers and meatballs. Add garlic and cover. Simmer 20 minutes longer. Remove the garlic and simmer 10 minutes longer. Serve over noodles, with tossed salad and garlic bread. |

Notes: One of my favorites!
If you are in a hurry, you can use frozen Italian meatballs, and frozen pepper and onion mix. Spaghetti sauce. It is not as good but nothing in a hurry is as good as the fresh.
