1 clove garlic
⅔ c. water
¼ c. teriyaki sauce
1⅓ c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. minced white onion
1 tbsp crushed pineapple
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 c. pineapple juice
1 tbsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp Jack Daniels whiskey
¼ tsp. cayenne pepper

1. Cut about ½-inch off pointed end of garlic. Cut roots so the garlic will set flat. Remove some of the papery skin from outside, but leave enough so cloves stay together.

2. Combine water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally until mixture boils; reduce heat until just simmering.

3. Combine water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar in medium sauce pan over medium-high heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture boils. Reduce heat until just simmering.

4. Squeeze side of the head of garlic until pasty roasted garlic is squeezed out. Measure 1 tbsp. into saucepan and whisk to combine.

5. Add remaining ingredients to saucepan and stir.

6. Let mixture simmer 40-50 minutes or until the sauce has reduced by half and is thick and syrupy, don't allow to boil over.

Glaze is sweet and will burn quickly. If you use glaze on grilled meat, add it just before taking meat off the flame. Serve extra glaze on the side.
