Notes: We make this for our neighbors, friends, family, ward members, etc. for Christmas every year in my family. One year I made 3 batches all by myself. There's a fun story behind it though. My Uncle Leonard Chapple heard from his mother, Thelma Chapple, from the time he was young as to how she obtained this recipe. There was a woman who wanted the See's Fudge recipe so she wrote a letter to See's and asked for the recipe. See's sent her a letter back and jokingly, they thought, said they would sell it to her for a million dollars. This made her really mad so she started a campaign among a bunch of women's groups and eventually raised a million dollars. She ended up having to take See's to court and they had to take a million dollars and give her the recipe because of what they had told her. She proceeded to print the recipe in every women's magazine that would print it, along with the story. "My mother," my Uncle Leonard said, "back in the early 50's, got it out of a women's magazine and we've had fudge for Christmas almost every year since then."
