1 1/2 lbs. meatloaf mixture
2/3 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion chopped
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 cup milk (for meatballs)
1 tbls. shortening
2 tbls corn starch
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 can 14 oz. pineapple chunks in syrup, drained (reserve syrup)
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tsp. soy sauce (low sodium)
1/3 cup pepper (chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ground meat, crumbs, egg, onion, salt, ginger and milk. Shape into small balls.
Melt shortening, brown and cook meatballs. Remove meat and keep warm. Remove fat from pan.
Mix cornstarch and sugar. Stir in reserved pineapple syrup, vinegar, and soy sauce until smooth. Cook stirring until boiling. Boil and stir 1 minute.
Add meatballs, pineapple and pepper, heat through.

Serve over rice for a meal. Serve with toothpicks for appetizers.
