Ingredients:
4 c. milk with 3/4 c. sugar - scalded
2 T. butter
4 eggs - beaten
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. lemon juice
toasted and buttered white bread slices

Directions:
Mix together all ingredients except the bread. Pour into a baking dish. Cut into small squares and place bread pieces over top to cover custard. Press lightly into custard and sprinkle with cinnamon. Set pudding inside a pan of water to bake and bake at 325* for 40 minutes - you can check to see if it's done by sticking a knife down inside it and if it comes out "clean" then it's cooked thoroughly.
