1½ c. butter
3 c. brown sugar
1½ tsp. vanilla (I like more vanilla)
¾ tsp. almond extract
4 eggs
3 c. flour
½ tsp. salt

Frosting:
1½ c. butter
⅓ c. canned evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Almost a 2 lb. bag of powdered sugar
(just make a ½ batch).

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, brown sugar, vanilla and almond extract until light and fluffy. Add eggs, flour, and salt.
Divide batter in half. Put first ½ into a greased cookie sheet with blobs. Spread slightly. To other ½ add 2 tbsp. cocoa. Drop onto first layer. Spread.
Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes.
Frost. Melt ¾ c. chocolate chips. Spread rows 1 to 1½" the short way across pan. Draw a knife through alternating directions.
