2 1/4 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 C (2 sticks) Butter - softened
3/4 C Sugar
3/4 C Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Large Eggs
2 C (12 oz package) Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1 C Chopped Nuts (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Mix flour, baking soda and salt, set aside.
Beat butters, sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing each one in
Stir in chips and nuts

Drop onto ungreased baking pan
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

I added this so that you would have it on hand since you don't always use the Toll House chips which has the recipe on the package. I've used this recipe practically since the time I started baking.
