1 Whole chicken
2 teaspoon Chicken bouillon
2 cup flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup chicken broth
½ cup milk
4 tablespoon oil

Directions:
Directions:
Cook whole chicken in large pot with bouillon. After it’s done, remove chicken from
pot and then meat from bones. Set meat aside. In separate large bowl, combine dry ingredients and mix. Combine wet ingredients in large liquid measuring cup. Mix into dry ingredients, making a soft dough. Cut a small handful of dough off and place on floured breadboard. Cover remaining dough. Roll out dough on board to very thin. Cut into desired size squares. Put into pot of chicken broth. Continue until all dough has been put in pot. Dumplings are ready when they start sticking to the bottom of pot.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
*The above recipe is a variation I developed using the recipes from both of my Grandmothers. My family likes my variation. Granny Dennis uses all buttermilk in her variation with a small fistful of lard or shortening. Granny VanDover uses all chicken broth and oil. Both are wonderful!
