2 cups plus 2 Tbsps. Flour
2 tsps. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Salt
½ cup Butter or Margarine, at room temperature
1 ¾ cups Sugar
3 large Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
4 squares (1 oz. each) Unsweetened Chocolate, melted
½ cup Confectioner's Sugar

Directions:

Mix flour, baking powder and salt.

In a large bowl beat butter and sugar until fluffy, beat in eggs until mixture is pale yellow, then add vanilla and chocolate until blended. Gradually add in flour mixture, mix until blended.

Refrigerate dough for about an hour.

Heat oven to 350º. Lightly grease cookie sheet.

Shape heaping teaspoonfuls of dough into 1¼ inch balls. Roll in confectioners' sugar.

Place 1½ inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Bake about 12 minutes until tops are puffed and cracked. Do NOT over-bake.

Cookies are soft when hot but firm and chewy when cooled.
