2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups applesauce
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Icing:
5 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add vanilla, eggs, and applesauce. Add dry ingredients, and mix until just combined. Stir in pecans.

Pour into greased 8 or 9" prepared pan, and bake at 350º until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool completely.

Combine icing ingredients, and spread over cake.
