2/3 cup milk
2 beaten eggs
2 T powdered sugar
1 tsp grated lemon peel
8 slices day-old bread, 1 inch thick
Butter or margarine
Powdered sugar
Maple syrup or honey

Directions:
Directions:
Combine milk, eggs, sugar, lemon peel, and dash salt; mix well. Dip bread in egg mixture, coating both sides. In skillet over low heat, brown the bread in butter on both sides (Electric skillet 275º). Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve hot with butter and syrup.
