½ c butter
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 c sugar
1½ c (8 oz container) chopped sugared dated
1 c chopped pecans
⅓ c water
1 c flour
½ t salt
1 t vanilla
2½ c rice crispies
Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in sauce pan
Temper eggs (add small amount of butter to eggs stir then add to pan)
Add sugar
Cook over medium heat
Blend in dates
Cook stirring constantly for 5 minutes
Turn heat to low
Gradually add water then flour stirring constantly for 7-10 minutes
Stir in salt and vanilla
Add pecans and rice crispies
Remove from heat
Roll into balls and roll in sugar
