1/4 c. instant coffee
1/4 c. hot water
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground anise
1 egg
3 c. self rising flour

Glaze:
2 & 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
(optional add flavoring)

1.In a medium saucepan, dissolve the coffee in the water.
2.Add butter, sugar, and honey and bring to a boil until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
3.Take off heat and cool completely. Add vanilla, allspice, nutmeg, and anise.
4.Whisk in egg. Add flour and mix until homogeneous.
5.Cover bowl with wrap and refrigerate for 4 hrs to overnight.
6.Line on a parchment lined baking sheet in silver dollar sized balls.
7.Cook on 325º F for 20- 25 minutes.

Spread glaze evenly while still hot.
