This is great for the holidays.
2 apples, sliced
1/3 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 (17 oz. each) cans yams, drained and cut into slices. (I use freshly baked sweet potatoes)
1/4 c. butter
2 c. miniature marshmallows

Directions:
Directions:
Toss apples and nuts with brown sugar and cinnamon. Alternate layers of apples and yams in casserole dish. Dot with butter. Cover and bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows over yams and apples. Broil until lightly brown.

This is great for the holidays. I make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Children love this one!
