2 c flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ c shortening
¾ c milk

Directions:
Directions:
sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until the particles are fine and add milk all at once. Stir until dough clings together.
Knead lightly on a floured surface 12 times.
Roll to desired thickness and cut into rounds and place on an ungreased cookie sheet or silicone mat.
bake at 450º for 12-15 min until golden brown.

For drop biscuits:
Increase milk to 1 cup do not roll out. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet or place in muffin cups.
