1 tsp baking soda
1 cup light molasses
1 cup butter- no substitutions
1 cup sugar
2 tsp ginger
½ tsp salt
1 large egg
5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375ºF
2. In cup, baking soda into molasses, set aside.
3. Beat butter, sugar, giner, salt at low speed, beat in molasses, egg, add 4¾ cup flour.
4. On lightly floured surface, knead dough, knead in ¼ cup flour, divide in half, roll out.
