1 cup butter
1 cup oil
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients in order by hand. Chill then roll into balls, roll in sugar, and flatten. Bake until golden at 350 degrees 5-7 minutes.

Grandma Ludeking mixed all her cookies by hand and chilled them. Grandma Phyllis did many of her cookies the same way.
