1 chicken
1⅓ c. butter
1⅛ c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
4½ c. chicken broth
2 c. rich milk
4 c. day old bread crumbs
¼ c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped celery
1 tsp. sage

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chicken and remove meat from bone. Melt in a large skillet; butter, blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Cool, stirring over low heat until bubbly. Stir in slowly - chicken broth and rich milk. Boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly. In a separate bowl combine day old bread crumbs, chopped onion, celery, and sage. Toss lightly to mix. Combine chicken with mixture and arrange in two ½ qt. baking dishes. Bake at 350º for 1 hour.
