1 cup dark corn syrup
1 c sugar
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 Tbsp baking soda
3 squares baking chocolate
1 c chocolate chips
1 " square paraffin, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Butter a 13" x 9" pan.

Combine corn syrup, sugar and vinegar in a pan and heat to 290 to 300 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and add baking soda and stir well to eliminate holes in the sponge.

WORK QUICKLY as mixture foams at this stage and pour into pan (do not spread).

When cool, slide into clear plastic bag and break into pieces.

Melt chocolate and paraffin. Dip sponge pieces into chocolate and place on wax paper until set.
