Christmas Jamborees Recipe

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1-1/4 cups butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp vanilla
Seedless raspberry jam
Finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:

Sift together flour and salt. In large mixer bowl cream butter until soft; gradually add sugar creaming well until light and fluffy. Blend in 2 unbeaten eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add the flour, mix thoroughly. Roll 1 tsp dough into small balls and put on ungreased cookie sheet.

Dent center using the back of a teaspoon dipped in cold water. Spoon 1/4 tsp jam into center of cookie and sprinkle with finely chopped pecans.

Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about 7 dozen cookies.

When we were living in Corcoran, MN, two of our neighbors organized a Christmas cookie exchange. There were about 12 of us that participated, each bringing 12 plates containing 1 dozen cookies. Of the 11 plates of cookies I got; your dad only liked these, and every year (but one) I have added them to my cookie trays.
