3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1-1/2 cups butter or margarine

Food coloring (optional)
Colored sugars or decorative candies (optional)

Directions:

Stir together flour and baking powder. In large mixer bowl beat butter till softened. Add sugar and beat till fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract and beat well. Gradually add flour mixture and beat till well mixed. To ensure easy passage through the cookie press, do not chill dough.

If desired, tint dough with food coloring. Force dough through a cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate with colored sugars or candies, if desired. Bake in a 400 oven for 7-8 minutes or till done. Remove and cool. Makes about 60 cookies.

Personal Notes:
This is another cookie always on the Christmas cookie tray, easy and quick to make but looks pretty and adds color. This recipe is a bit different from what mom and Grandma Anderson used.
