2 C. 40% Bran Breakfast Cereal
4 c All Bran Breakfast Cereal
2 c. Boiling Water
1 qt. buttermilk
1 c. Shortening
2 1/2 c sugar
4 Eggs
1 c Chopped Walnuts
5 c Flour
5 t Soda
1/2 t Salt

Combine Cereals and water and let stand 5 minutes.
Add Buttermilk.
In a separate bowl cream together Shortening and Sugar. Then add in the eggs.
In another bowl mix flour, soda & salt Add flour mixture to Shortening Mixture and stir until blended.
Combine cereal mix and add nuts
Mom often added 1 c. chopped dates
Uncooked Mix will store in the refrigerator for 6 weeks.
Grease muffin tins or use paper cup liners for tin.
Fill 3/4way full and bake 350 for 15-20 or until cooked
