Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Ground up dried corn cobs or cedar chips
Muslin bags
ESSENTIAL OILS:
Balsam Fir
Lavender
Spanish rosemary
Orange
Lemon
Cedar (if you use corn cobs)

Directions:
Directions:
Place filling in muslin bags. Put several drops of essential oils on the bags and place in a closed container for a couple of days. To mouse-proof, just place them around where the little squirts might get in. Keep them away from your pets if possible. and set them on paper plate or something if you're setting them on carpet, etc so that the oil doesn't stain it.

Best of all, it makes your basement or camper smell like the great outdoors!

In the spring, put them back in the closed container and use them again the next fall after you put more essential oils on them.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is the actual ingredient list for Fresh Cab packets that are mouse deterrents. They are pricey and often very hard to find, but they work great. I save them every year and use the essential oils above to revitalize them before I put them out. Some are on their 4th year!
Find the muslin bags at the dollar store or on amazon. Cedar chips are on both Ebay and Amazon. You're going to get WAY more than you need, so it's great if you can find someone to share everything with. Same with the essential oils. Don't buy the most expensive--just by some with good reviews, and you're probably going to have enough of these oils to last you three years or longer.
There is no set recipe--use your judgement. I usually put more of the balsam fir on than the rest, because that's the one out of the bunch that mice hate the most.
