1 (3 pound) chicken, cooked, deboned, and shredded
4 slices of bread, crust removed and shredded by hand
1/4 (16 ounce) package buttery round crackers, crushed
Broth from soup to desired consistency
Salt and pepper to taste
12 hamburger buns

In a large saucepan or bowl combine shredded chicken, broth from soup, shredded bread and crushed crackers. Mix thoroughly. Serve on buns with chopped onions and Muenster cheese slice.

We usually make chicken soup with a 4 pound chicken. Remove the chicken from soup to cool slightly. Shred the chicken; add approximate 1 pound to soup. The remaining chicken, use for your shredded chicken sandwiches.
