Grandma Fleming

For the cookies:

2 small (3 oz) packages Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
2 sticks butter, softened
2 cups flour (added 1/2 at a time to the recipe)

For the filling:

2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp melted butter
1/8 tsp salt

2 cup pecans, chopped finely. This is used to cover the cookies. It might be more than you need but you don't want to run out.

Parchment paper for cooling the cookies

Preheat oven to 350

To make the cookies: Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls about the size of a quarter. Set on greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly

To make the filling: Mix all ingredients together fully and set aside

Sprinkle cookies with pecans. Then spoon filling over the nuts. Then sprinkle cookies again with nuts.

Bake for 15-17 minutes. Reduce heat to 250 and cook and additional 10 minutes.

Remove from oven and let set for just a few minutes before you remove the cookies to cool completely on parchment paper.
