1 C Uncooked Shredded Carrots
1 C Uncooked Shredded Potatoes
1 C Sugar
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 C Flour
3/4 Tsp Salt
2 C Raisins
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 C Melted Shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, measure out 1 cup. Sift that with spices, salt, and baking soda. Add raisins. Combine carrots, potatoes, shortening, and sugar. Add dry ingredients and raisins. Mix thoroughly. Fill well-oiled 1-pound cans 2/3 full. Steam for 2 1/2 hours.
Serve hot with any pudding sauce.
