1/2 c. butter-flavored Crisco
1 c. peanut butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
Directions:
Directions:
Cream Crisco, peanut butter, and both sugars together. Add milk and vanilla. Add egg. Add dry ingredients. Mix well.

Drop by teaspoons onto the baking sheet. Press an "X" on top of the cookie with a fork. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

This is one of my Mom's cookie recipes. She wrote it in the back of the 1982-83 Cookie Cookbook from Birdwell Elementary School that I attended. She wrote several of her cookies in there and now I can bake them!
